Sexual Harassment Awareness - Sexual Harassment is illegal and is prohibited at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. This seminar provides information concerning the definition of Sexual Harassment, the behaviors that constitute harassment, and what to do should harassment occur.

Diversity in the Workplace (Equal Opportunity Issues) - This seminar helps participants understand the impact of changing demographaics, cultural diversity, and communication in the work environment. Respectful Workplace - This seminar will introduce the concept of working in a respectful environment. USF is a “diverse community that values and expects respect and fair treatment for all people.”  USF Values, policies, and Standards support this vision.  Employees should be able to work in a safe, supportive environment.  Achieving that goal depends on everyone.  Participants will explore what behaviors contribute to and detract from a respectful environment, and what they as individuals may do to support such a workplace.

Safety Hazardous Communication - The Hazardous Communication course is the cornerstone to chemical safety. By utilizing chemical labels, warning signage, written program, MSDS's, Inventory, PE, non-routine tasks, and training we can ensure that employees are safe from chemical hazards in the workplace. Potential dangers that lurk under your sink at home and how to protect yourself and loved ones will also be discussed.

  Personal Protective Equipment - The PPE course covers how to determine which safety equipment is required for a given task. You will learn the basics of a task hazard assessment, and how to wear/use, maintain, clean, replace and identify malfunctions in PPE. Sept. 19

  Asbestos Awareness & Management - This training is to provide knowledge and guidance for Faculty, Staff and Students of USF on the proper procedures of USF Policies for Assessment, Determination and Removal of Asbestos. Training consists of looking at the origins of asbestos, health effects caused by asbestos, suspect asbestos building materials and where they may be found, and the rules and regulations of EPA. Blackboard - Learn about Blackboard - a web portal that allows online course management. Training sessions will be offered on course building, course communication and course assessment.
