Web Services is the starting point and a resource for web development
of official USF St. Petersburg university web pages. As part of the communications
and marketing effort within University Relations,
Web Services is responsible for innovating, directing
and providing website functionality on the official USF St. Petersburg
website.

Webmaster's responsibilities
The webmaster assumes campus-wide responsibility
and leadership for the USF St. Petersburg web
site: planning and implementing the overall site architecture, functionality
and user interface.
The position also assumes responsibility
for the management of the web site: planning, implementing
and administering the content management system. This system consists of web content owners;
author and subject matter experts; contributors; web designers; web
developers; and software components. Read more.
Webmaster's site-wide initiatives 08-09
- Support University Relations enrollment marketing efforts:
- Concentrate web page editors focus upon link maintainenceas a routine effort. (Complete)
- Optimize current web site pages that affect enrollment (home pages: CAS; COE; COB; Enroll; Housing; Admissions; Tour; etc.) to maximize marketing impact. (Complete)
- Implement Google Analytics on the USFSP web site (2008 - Testing Phase) .
- Promote the use Analytics to provide data about visitor web site use. (On Hold)
- Implement web page banners (at page bottom) to provide another avenue for internal communications. These banners will be able to target our largets constituents: Prospective Students; Our Students; Visitors; Faculty & Staff; Alumni & Parents; and Community. (Complete)
- Build a speakers bureau web application (database) to enable university relations to respond to speaker and expert requests from the community. (Reserach Phase)
- Build a movie channel to enable campus messages by embedding movies about our mission, our services, our faculty, and our students on USFSP web pages. These movies will enable us to more effectively communicate the value USFSP adds to our region. (In Process)
- Implement the design and build for a new Arts and Sciences homepage. (On hold due to budget cuts)
- Implement admissions focused "get-to-know-us" marketing movies (In Process)

- Support University Relations enrollment marketing efforts:
- Plan and build initial enrollment marketing FTIC Admissions web site (2006 - completed) .
- Manage the Hobsons build of enrollment marketing pages (questionnaire pages):
- Plan and build Hobsons enrollment push page content blocks FTIC; Transfer; Graduate; (2006 - completed) and International Students (Project transferred to Enrollment Services)
- Build html pages for static Hobsons e-communication messages (2006 - completed)
- Plan and manage design of Hobsons Flash e-communication messages (2006 - completed)
