Email Accounts for USFSP Employees

Campus Computing provides email service for USF St. Petersburg on a UNIX-based host for over 600 faculty and staff. Both the "IMAP4" and "POP3" email communication standards are supported for the sending and retrieval of email on campus. Secure access to our email service is available from on and off campus by using WebMail.

Requesting an Account

In order to sign up for a Bayboro domain account, you must be a valid USF employee and complete the following requirements in chronological order. This process also applies for requesting a "Bayboro" domain account for office and classroom PC access.

1. Get your USF-ID number.

Note: The USF ID number, or "U Number" is processed with Human Resources upon hire. It's available as of the first date of employment and will be printed on your USFCard (next step).

2. Get your USFCard.

a. Visit the Cashier's Office in the first floor of Bayboro Hall, room 132.
b. Pay the $10 fee and keep your receipt.
c. Visit the Instructional Media Department in the second floor of the Poynter Library, room 207.
d. Fill out the USFCard application located on one of the tables.
e. Present your completed application, cashier's receipt and a form of legal identification, such as your driver's license, to the Media Department staff.

3. Sign up for a USF NetID.

a. Have your USF ID card handy.
b. Use the University Network Access < https://una.acomp.usf.edu > Web site to sign up for your own USF NetID.
c. Follow the on-screen prompts for identification and activation.

4. Fill out and submit an Account Request Form.

Please fill out and submit a Campus Computing Account Request Form. The form is a PDF document file that must be printed out, then filled out in writing. You may submit the form to Campus Computing by faxing it to (727) 873-4160 or mailing it to campus stop "BAY 241".

Please allow 24 to 48 hours for the account to be created and activated. You will be notified when this process is complete. Once your email address is activated, you may use it in one of the following formats:

  • username@stpete.usf.edu

Setting Up Your Account in Outlook

If you already know how to set up Outlook or another email application for "POP mail", use the following server addresses to set up your account:

  • Incoming Email: mail.stpete.usf.edu
  • Outgoing Email: smtp.stpete.usf.edu
