USF St. Petersburg Common Data Set

The Common Data Set initiative was spurred, in part, by an article [1] published in The Wall Street Journal in April 1995 which criticized the lack of consistency in the data that colleges and universities reported to the major publishers of college guidebooks for prospective students. In October of the same year, The College Board, Peterson's, U.S. News, and Wintergreen/Orchard House publishers began a collaborative effort with the higher education community to develop a standard set of data definitions.

Additional information about the Common Data Set Initiative can be found at http://www.commondataset.org.

USF St. Petersburg's data are submitted as part of the University of South Florida Common Data Set. USF St. Petersburg's Common Data Set is published online for unofficial purposes only.
