The procedures for assessment of student learning in general education are the same as in previous semesters:
At the beginning of the semester (within one month of the start of classes) submit your syllabus and course information.
At the end of the semester (with course grades) submit your assesment of student learning.
New this year is a requirement that critical assignments be coded by category: papers, projects, tests, etc.
Also this year, faculty are encouraged to develop rubrics and scoring systems and distribute them to their students.

The Institutional Effectiveness Committee (IEC) has completed their review of ALCs for programs in CAS. CAS program areas are now responsible for updating their ALCs accordingly. Currently in review are the ALCs for COB and COE. Also, although not required by the state, the ALC reporting format website will be used to post information on our graduate programs to facilitate SACS review.

USF St. Petersburg is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award degrees at the baccalaureate, master's, and doctoral levels. USF St. Petersburg was initially accredited in 2006.

On Friday, August 15, 2008 - USFSP received notification that our IPEDS number had been issued: 448840.
On Monday, August 18, 2008 - USFSP registered the institution and our data tables are scheduled to be populated as follows: fall 2008 by October 15th; and spring 2009 by April 15th.
