Institutional Research at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg provides information and leadership to support decision-making about the effectiveness of USF St. Petersburg in achieving its mission. The office helps coordinate activities supporting accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and other accreditation organizations; coordinates assessment activities to enhance the quality of academic programs and to improve administrative and student support services; designs and implements periodic and recurring institutional research inquiries; and maintains an archive of institutional reports.

The primary mission of Institutional Research is to collect, analyze, synthesize, and disseminate data to support campus-wide decision-making, planning, and accreditation at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg.

Implicit in the mission of the IR Office is strict adherence to the Code of Ethics for Institutional Researchers developed by the Association for Institutional Research.

In order to ensure the uniformity of data reported for USF, the USF St. Petersburg Office of Institutional Research participates in the systemwide collection and dissemination of data.
