Just as commencement is a ritual marking the completion of college, convocation is a ritual that signals the beginning. Convocation brings new students and their families together with faculty and staff to mark a new beginning. Convocation and commencement are bookends, signifying traditional acknowledgment of milestones in the academic journey.

Convocation will include remarks from Dr. Karen White, Chancellor of USF St. Petersburg, Dr. Kent Kelso, Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs, and student leaders.

Mark your calendars now for this special event which formally welcomes new students into the academic community. Formal invitations will be sent in August. You will be asked to RSVP for this event.
