USF St. Petersburg's Strategic Plan is a living document and subject to periodic review. This review ensures that the institution maintains clearly specified educational objectives that are consistent with its mission, appropriate to the degrees it offers, and that the institution is successful in achieving its stated objectives.

The USF St. Petersburg Strategic Planning Committee was re-constituted in July 2005.  Committee membership is representative of faculty, staff and students from across the campus.  After a review of the preceding current strategic directions, the Strategic Planning Committee decided to revise these into five Strategic Goals aligned with four Core Areas which support, sustain and assure the successful attainment of each of the strategic goals.  Subcommittees of the Strategic Planning Committee will review each of the strategic goals and core areas.  Chairs for these subcommittees have been selected and the chairs will be assisted by members of the Strategic Planning Committee and others campus-wide who the subcommittee chairs will be contacting to serve with them.  They will also be meeting with College Councils, Student Government, campus standing committees, as well as the standing committees/councils of the Faculty Council.  Every effort will be made to receive and listen to a broad base of input from all members of the campus community and the broader community the University serves.
